Quick and dirty 2/1 sugar syrup
 
I use gallon jars, but the recipe works for other containers as well.
 
1) Place your empty jar in the sink (keeps the mess managable if you
accidentally break the jar while stirring).
 
2) Fill the jar with dry sugar.
 
3) Add boiling water to the sugar and stir.   Continue to add boiling water
and stir until the sugar is all dissolved and the jar is full.
 
4) If you intend to add Fumadil, let the solution cool first.
 
This isn't an analytical 2/1 soulution, but the bees don't seem to mind.
