Our local association has established a beeyard used by a number of our
members on the property of one of our members. The association has a
written contract with him (he is a lawyer). It is a very friendly
relationship, but with a dozen beekeepers all using the yard and with
classes being taught there, this seems appropriate. Our bee yard has become
popular enough that we have doubled its size this year. It is an excellent
location.

We were originally invited to have a beeyard on this property because the
owner wanted to be green. After hanging around with us, he began keeping
his own bees - year two for him now.

I have never heard of a written agreement for any other beeyard. I would
rather not see this become the standard. A handshake is a better system.
