Hi Allen and all

Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food 2010 recommendations state:  
"It is not recommended to use sugar syrup method of application or  
products such as pollen substitutes as carriers, as this can  
contaminate honey, is less effective and can promote resistant AFB."   
Not proof, but change of mind for those who once recommended the above.
