Greetings-

I am interested in getting more info on beekeeping.  Can anyone recommend
good books or websites for me to learn more about beekeeping?  We recently
purchased 9 acres and are wanting to put a small orchard and vegetable/herb
garden in, would it be wise to have our own hive(s) to insure pollination?
I also do alot of cooking with honey and make our own soap and deodorant.
We have not seen bees there but did happen upon a hornets nest how would
that affect our hive?
