Actually it is more complicated as fipronil was also banned, so no one will
know with any certainty if the neonics are the problem. Fipronil is a known
bee killer at much lower concentrations than the neonics.

But this is the kind of thing that happens when you go the political route
instead of good science. Emotion in politics always trumps reason.

Same thing is happening here in Maine where our MSBA Board (without the
Association's member's approval) is working with a politician to ban the
neonics but not go before the Board of Pesticide Review with facts.
