Otherwise you woud have known it was a 10 mil (over 5n yrs) Expeditions and Computing grant from the NSF.
 
From a pollination(and beekeeping) viewpoint this is pure crap but from a computing,electrical and mechanical engineering viewpoint I see some fantastic potential.
 
Who cares if they're riding the CCD coattails,.   It's still science and the money stays local.
