my question..
Is there such a thing as a mite resistant MH?  I would guess however a mite resistant Russian at least should suggest to the doubter that the honeybee can gain resistance to varroa.


One of the main issues of the commercial side, is that mite resistance is great,  but meaningless if they don’t produce much surplus honey and copious amounts of brood.  
While each commercial guy bemoans the mite issues,  they would never trade resistance for  cutting  honey numbers or pollination hives in half.  Not to mention commercial breeders like the "huge yellow queen"  and mild temperament, as that’s what sells.
