Thanks Randy and all. It seems to me that if the mites found on day 8-9 are fertile than giving them time to re-enter brood may lower test counts but only mask the true count. For years I have not counted right after treatment (ignorance is bliss) but been confused how the counts can come back so quickly. So this year I decided to count on removal. I will recount @ day 16 and 32 and report. I read with interest your ABJ article on the subject. I share the dismay Allen has about NOD. Nowhere in their promotion did they mention shelf life. Only after getting 4 tubs did I see "Best used by Sept 2012", shipped July 2012. I have lots of Mite-Away II rims if anyone is interested.
