>I'm curious if other people have had similar
experience with weather.

Bees can be moody.

I managed to do an extraction
Tuesday in clouds and rain.
without suiting, -occasionally I
wore veil and gloves. I never
can manage to keep count of
stings, - I think about 6 to 9
stings which was fine with me,
and due to this aggressive behavior,
it perhaps rules out the possibility
they were gentle AHB.

Was a rather large prime swarm
which built up a nice size nest in
a very short time. I could smell
the alarm pheromone when I
stuck my head in the wall void
to search for queen. I was
cutting comb, and no use of
smoke for safety reasons.
I new things were about to get
out of hand, but they remained
rather workable.

Swarm Call update for 5-16-2012
Today- 4 calls for bees just
swarming into houses, -2 within
9 miles from home, and 1 at
about 15 miles, and 1 just
outside my range which I turned
down.

My friend called from the pest
control company to advise me
of one of the above calls.
He mentioned "It a bad year
for bees, their swarming everywhere"
To which I replied, "seems like
a good year to me."

Weather calls for 2 more nice days,
so swarming will continue I hope.

Bests Wishes,
Joe Waggle
