We  live in very western NY and collected 3 swarms over the past week (Sept
4-11) week.  Two of the swarms were big reminiscent of a 5# package of
bees.  Talking to the other beeks in the area they also have been hiving
many swarms.  I do not recall this abundance of swarms this late in the year
in the years past.  Has anyone else been experiencing this phenomenon?  And
what would trigger so many late swarms?
