At our association apiary meeting today the opinion was expressed that
varroa treatment using thymol attracts wasps to the hives.  This is a new
one for me!

I suspect that the time when wasps start to attack hives just happens to
coincide with the start of varroa treatment, i.e. early to mid August in
this region.

Be interested to hear any other views.
