Contrary to rumors, BEE-L archives are alive and well and searches
will function as designed and documented in the LISTSERV Users Guide
available online at:
http://www.LSOFT.com/manuals/1.8d/index.html

Inculded in "the Great Change" (the migration of BEE-L to a Unix platform)
was an upgrade to the LISTSERV software. The vendor (LSOFT) no longer
supports the DATABASE function, which was the search engine employed by
some search web pages interfaces to the BEE-L archives. Searches via
DATABASE commands no longer work. However, searches as documented in
current LISTSERV manuals work fine. As always, users are encouraged to
read the fine manuals (RTFM)!
