The, in my mind inflated, reported losses have done more to flame the media hysteria around managed bees and provided little useful information to experienced beekeepers. I filled out the survey carefully for the first 3 years but when I reviewed the report before sending I felt that someone reading it unaware of my operation would not get a very accurate view of my methods or results


DITTO,  I even did the pollen samples and wax testing.  My results from pesticides the first 2 years were zeros.  The 3 some fungicides.  

Unfortunatly even though they have data on where the pesticides are biteing us they choose not to release the information.


My report sits here,  not going to mail it in anymore either.  The decision to skew data is intentional.  The reason I say this is an article in ABJ or BC just recently  where one of the BIP team went to the trouble to "explain" why the numbers did not match onther survey system.   Nothing but obfuscation in my opinion.

They want to record losses, and claim "unsustainable"  but no attempt is made to seriously show growth and splits.  Nothing in tha data would indicate the growth  of the last years in the honeybee industry.   That’s sad.
