I won't argue either, but using the Nicot system of raising a handful of queens, I transfer young larvae and fill out the last of my cell-cup frames with larvae, as needed.
 
Consistently, the cell builder colony destroys/cannibalizes the eggs and feeds the larvae into queen cells.
 
I've had the same experience on several occasions.  But I still can't explain it either.
