Dave, depends upon whether you are talking about:
1.  Mite resistant feral stock in which colony reproduction stays
ahead of death from mite infestation.
2.  Mite resistant small apiary managed stock, with little intercolony
competition and mite transfer.
3.  Mite resistant commercial managed stock, with substantial colony
losses unacceptable.
