a James Fischer quote..

In my defense, I keep bees atop literal ivory towers.
What's YOUR excuse? :)

Well Jim I live in Texas and as a famous civil war general said (Sherdan I think?) if I owned Texas and hell I would rend out Texas and live in hell. I am not sure that 'that' serves as an excuse but it was largely all accidental including my keeping of bees (both in the past and currently). Seems odd that some of the best things in life are never planned but happen by accident.

I am not opposed to new ideas nor trying new things but when folks are on a holy roller kick to promote some idea and they cannot seem to keep bees alive even for a short period of time I scratch my head and wonder 'what is the point'. Sometimes even pretty smart folks tell you something will not work but how would you know if you did not give it a try.

I do find it offensive for folks to revise history to sell folks on some flaky idea.. small cell comes to mind here. You might think they are selling snake oil.

Gene in central Texas and yes it is now getting hot as hell...
