I just read the written testimony (ban the neonics for 2 years) that was
submitted before the meeting. It does not include any testimony of the many
that attended but would have spoken at the meeting, like me, but who had
not submitted their testimony beforehand.

26 people or organizations presented written testimony before the meeting.
Four were either beekeepers or ex-beekeepers (The fourth beekeeper (ex) was
the sponsor). One was associated with the Xerces Society. Several were
organic farmers.

The testimony was 26 against, including the bill sponsor. None in support.
The MSBA's testimony was conspicuously absent.

If interested, here is the link.

I expected to see at least a few supporters. Instead, even those few
worried about the neonics said legislation was the wrong venue. They were
very concerned about what would take the neonics place.
