I alternate foundationless with the PF-100's. I get them drawn out fine - probably because they can put their larger size cells on the foundationless frames. My foundationless tend to be smaller - about the size of the 100's in the center and then larger on the sides and particularly toward the bottom of the frame. I also get a lot of drone brood on at least on foundationless frame.
