I had my attention drawn to this here n Australia.  Two things come
immediately to mind.

1.  Although the inventors say you should check your brood, if this works
then it gives people the opportunity to harvest honey without opening the
hive and getting stung.  I would suspect there will be many who just want
the honey and don't check the brood.  Means we will have more "bee havers"
than "bee keepers".

2.  I wonder what price it will be.

I agree with Jim about robbing and I guess this can be overcome by a lid
with the hole for the pipe.

At this stage I cannot see any commercial applications.  Too slow.
