they will share what they learn at all.

Since the field research is being done under FDA oversight, as well as
being observed by independent beekeepers such as myself and former
presidents of the national associations, we will likely notice if there are
noticeable negative effects in the colonies.

One could well have the same fear about researchers developing each new
generation of vaccines against influenza, polio, and measles.  I know a
number of the PI's, and can assure you that they don't want to create
anything that will be harmful to the bees.
