"Fantastic!... Curious what "types" /genetics are you using, and where are you??"

Charles,I should have put my location. My bees are in a rural area about 10 miles north of Charlottesville, Virginia. As to genetics I was lucky enough to graft off friends breeders and I have bought one for myself. So nearly all of them are daughters, granddaughters etc from Purvis production queen
V.P queens allegro/pol-line breeder
Glenn VSH breeder
Glenn Pol-line breeder
Glenn Carni breeder....these daughters did not overwinter well. And test queens from the http://vshbreeders.org/ breeding program that Adam of VP queens runs...these queens never receive treatments. I have two from 2013 that are really strong right now. I am sure that never banking and not shipping also really helps the longevity of queens.
