The Sierra magazine has an article on correlation of bee kills with corn
yields & neonicotinoid.

Mar/Apr'15 article of Bee decline & neonicotinoids:

It mentions a western NY beekeeper Jim Doan among others.

If you look at the link below,  it appears that Doan's problems started
before 2006 and CCD
