OK, if you are picky about used equipment: I did not mention
we here in Virginia can have any equipment fumigated/sterilized
for free by VA Dept of Ag.  Other locations are not so fortunate,
In North Carolina for example, there is a modest
fee ($0.10-0.50) per each piece.
 
P.S.
....The NC State Beekeepers Assoc will hold their spring meeting
in Raleigh on March 1 & 2nd, not the 2 & 3rd as posted previously.
