We've (our church community) raised thousands of dollars over the years for Heifer Project.  I really like them, and not just because they promote bees.

I offered to give them bees, I offered to donate my time and talent as I've worked with foreign mission project.  I left my offer open ended.

They abruptly said, "No thanks."  No explanation given.  None was really needed.
