While I am generally in agreement, I have one comment to add. The idea that beekeepers need better information, etc. is hardly a new idea. It took decades for the frame hive to replace box and log hives. In some parts of Europe, skeps and log hives are still used.

So, it depends on what the definition of us is. People that thrive on information, innovation, etc. are not lacking education. People who prefer a hand's off hocus pocus approach to life are everywhere. It's like: How many psychologists does it take to change a lightbulb? Only one, but the lightbulb has to want to change.
