I am in the midst of completing the U of M Master program. The
certificate represents an acknowledgment that something was completed
through learning and exercising someone else' s standards, practices,
and processes.
Hopefully the someone else is one with an appropriate amount of
credibility amongst their peers which lends value to the issued
certificate. This exercise challenges the learner's current world view
on a subject thus
broadening their scope of knowledge and expertise. My goal is to
successfully complete the program. And, coupled with my 10 years of
managing bees use these honed skills to educate newer beekeepers
the "art" of keeping bees.
