I spent a lot of years in an "ivory tower", a major university, where I worked with fabulous mentors.  We were idealists, we didn't have to deal with politics.


I then went to work for 15 years at a small college where everything was about politics.  I hated it.


So I appreciate your points.  And I hope we can strive for the higher standard, the one where we just want to know what the truth is.
