For the purposes of adding honey to food to sweeten it it makes sense that
they are "added sugars" since that's what you would be doing... adding
sugar.  Though I can certainly agree it would seem silly on a bottle of
honey or a bag of sugar since they well, are sugar, and you aren't really
adding sugar to them.  They are probably just making sure that some
brain-dead person understands that if they add sugar, corn syrup, or honey
to their recipe it now has "added sugar in it.

Wouldn't it be great for honey sales (though maybe not so much for public
health) if you could make products sweetened with honey that could also
claim "no added sugar".
