For all of those that are complaining on the cost of the  $20.00 shaker you 
can make your own.

2 jars of appropriate size(pint glass)
2 canning lid bands(with the center open)
1 piece of round screen slighly larger than the lids diameter and screen 
size large enough for mites to easily fall through but the bees won't
Use 2 part epoxy to secure the lids together(top to top) with the screen 
sandwiched inbetween
After the lids are stuck together well run a bead of epoxy on the outside of 
the lids were the 2 come together
