Fwiw, here in Central Florida, we have courses that seem to have no
shortage of feral bees, nesting in any available small void. Some have
wildlife nesting boxes that get colonized and the management requests
'live relocation'( to save the bees, you know). We no longer will
perform such relocation, as the associated field bees sting golfers
located several hundred feet away. Not unlike migratory yards , with hot
bees, after they move on.

But, according to our state bee assoc. officers & some state officials,
we now don't have AHB in Florida, so live removals are encouraged, By
State Statute!!....Just wait until there's a few thousand hive boxes of
feral colonies in backyards around the state. Little Johnny's football
sails over the fence and hits the 'non-AHB' hive box and the sting event
ensues, throughout the neighborhood.

wrong*)<----coming soon on Animal Planet
