Pete, I wouldn't be so hard on those guys.  They were thrown to the wolves
for a few years when there were no effective legal miticides available.
They were largely forced to become scofflaws.  And now some of the legal
treatments are so much more expensive than what they've become accustomed
to using, that it is hard for them to justify the extra expense.

I'm not saying that this is right (I go out of my way to be
nonjudgemental);  it just is.
