I looked at the evidence and spoke with beekeepers in the problem areas. I
saw first hand the problems with these new systemic products. temik on
orange was the first. I made up my mind.

Most people are fence sitters. They read and read and can never make up
their minds.

Its been said that in a crises 10% of the people will take charge and lead.
80% will freeze until they find a leader to follow and the last 10% will
simply freeze and not even have enough sense to follow the leader.

I know what percent I fall into. Do you?

A new TV add has come out saying to use the systemics on your yard. Will
kill
all insects and even fleas.

Imid is the new treatment at vets for ear mites, fleas and ticks.

The Bayer fruit tree treatment says you pour IMID around the base of the
tree once a year and all insect problems are gone for a year.

Maybe if we crop dusted IMID from airplanes and treated all the U.S. we
could solve all our insect problems.

problem is as it always has been which is all the beneficial insects are
killed in the process.

In 2012 many agriculture endeavors will have to choose between systemics and
bees for pollination. 2012 is when the most organophosphates use will end.
Most
growers I deal with are very happy with the products they use now and worry
about 2012.

Chemical companies are working hard to introduce systemics into most crops
bees pollinate.

In the spring of 2012 I will not do apple pollination and will continue to
keep bees in remote areas free of IMID treated seed and areas treated with
the neonicotinoids such as golf courses and estates.

My 2 cents worth.

If i was a hobby beekeeper with a couple hives in the back yard i would
think twice about treating the yard with neonicotinoids placing
neonicotinoids in all the dandelions and clover.
