Is that a thing? Is the idea that the various plastic and metal parts will expand/contract unequally, and therefore skew the reading? I saw it as a feature in the new ad, but didn't give it a second thought. I always check the calibration before my once- or twice-yearly use, and have never had a problem. Good to know.

I imagine that would be more applicable over a steaming vat of wort, but then I believe the fogged-up eyepiece would be a bigger problem.

I have a few friends who brew (seems everyone does these days), and I would echo that comment with the exception of one particular raspberry-infused ale that I remember. Bud Light would have been an improvement on that one.
