Many years ago you could have Varroa and had at least a period of time
before things got bad. The, with the "new" virus, the time decreased
dramatically. Even then there was treatment for Varroa and the clock was
reset. Next you could have low Varroa loads and have complete collapse. Now
you do not even need Varroa.

So my guess is that you have hit that nail right on the head. The problem
is virus.
