Here is my high tech proposal: You shake all bees of one hive into a
box. The box is connected with one or more glass tubes back to the hive,
so that the bees can crawl back, one at a time.
On the way back the bees are observed by cameras with mite recognition
software. If a mite is detected a trap door is activated and the bee
goes into the "powder (sugar) room". Shake and repeat.

Jorg
