> Federal courts are even weighing in this month, ruling that the U.S.
> Environmental
Protection Agency overlooked a requirement when allowing a pesticide on the
market.

also from the article:
>In December a federal judge agreed, banning the pesticide sale and earlier
two more judges upheld the ruling.

Those which have been on BEE-L for awhile remember the members which said no
way the neonicotinoids will harm bees and native insects. One that "the
neontictinoids harming bees is a myth"

I posted awhile back the number of court cases in about every state to ban
the
neonicotinoids. Over a thousand if I remember correctly.

My friend Jerry B. I think will agree on one point in the issue. Jerry & I
have fought pesticide issues before and I have never seen the chemical
companies with all their power and money fail to come out on top.
Beekeepers in the U.S. have had minor victories but not like what we are
seeing!
Do you agree Jerry?

I believe ( despite what the PR person for Bayer says) that there is enough
proof of problems to at least make label changes and limit use on certain
crops. However I think interests which object to poison being placed in our
fruits and vegetables ( however slight) are fueling the issue for a ban.

The issues now has been decided in this state in a federal court and the
decision upheld on two appeals.
Other states will use the decision in their battles.

I am working hard this week to complete setups for splits. hives for apples
and see final orchard pruning id completed. On the road next week for a
week into Georgia & Florida. Little time for BEE-L but felt I needed to
reply to this post.

I have a post on pollen issues but will have to wait for now!
