Also, one question that would have to be answered is one of consistancy
and bioavailability.  Given that propolis is a remarkably variable
substance (sometimes including all sorts of nasties) would propolis
itself be a reasonable delivery vehicle?  Not likely.  What would happen
is that someone would synthesize the compound(s), and develop a
different more consistant delivery system (pill, solution etc. with a
known quantity of said substances)  Prescribers, consumers, and the FDA
will, and should, insist on a guaranteed analysis.  

My propolis is not your propolis. . . mine is better  ;)

The thinking consumer, when told that propolis has these agents will ask
"but does THIS propolis have them in it?"  And that is nothing conpared
to what the FDA will want to know.
