Charlie's absolutely right about no till and herbicides.  Although I am
fully aware of the problems with herbicides, no till has gone a long way in
solving what used to be the main environmental concern in the Midwest--soil
erosion.

Unfortunately, it is far more difficult to practice no till without
herbicides.
