‘Remove one frame, prop it up against the side of the hive, pull one frame,
do your thing, slide each frame over one at a time, reverse when finished.

My variant on this is to lay the first frame horizontally on the far side of the box, moving it to the near side when you're halfway. This avoids bending to lay it down and pick it up again, avoids kicking or treading on it or forgetting it. It keeps half the bees down and quiet and some of the heat in some of the time.
