This solar fencer will only put out 3000 volts or so. I purchased one last
year after a bear tore into my hives. After a couple of cloudy days the
bear went through the fence. 3000 volts will not keep a bear out. I should
have reseached this befoe I purchased .

Zarebra makes a large DC fencer that puts out over 10000 volts. I am using
that along with the largest deep cycle battery I could find. No bear
problems.

Check out the Premier Fence site. They also have a catalog. Great info.

Put a couple of strips of bacon on the fence. The bear will anoff or lick
and you will get his attention.
