This is not any surprise Peter.  The progenitor species of Canola is a 
common species in at least parts of North America.  Brassica campestris is a 
frequent occurrence in our area.  The other GMO crops do not have wild 
relatives or at least not of the same ploidy.  Escape of these genes is not 
very likely.
