5.  A race or line of bees (a population that is uniform to some extent or another) get their by inbreeding...this is what fixes traits in a population.

This leaves out natural selection as a prime factor in the formation of distinct populations. For example, if you had a mixed population of susceptible and resistant bees and varroa wiped out all the susceptible ones, then you would have a uniform population of resistant bees, regardless of whether they bred with one another or not. Presumably they then would breed and strengthen that trait, but that comes after, not before selection.
