My local beekeeper friends writes the following to our group. It is of particular interest to me because of my work with water quality and pesticide runoff, and I am now wondering about the link to beekeeping? Would love comments.
Here it is:

Hey there Gang,
Did any one else see this article:

http://money.cnn.com/2010/10/08/news/honey_bees_ny_times.fortune/index.htm

It raises questions about where Dr. Jerry Bromenshenk, the author of the new research that everyone is talking about, is getting his funding. It links him to Bayer Corp as a recipient of money from them for a research project. The importance of this is that Bayer makes one of the pesticides that also has a suspected linked to CCD and points out that pesticides were specifically not part of the current research.

Does anyone have more info about this?
