No surprise, really. Critical thinking is discouraged. Staying with the flock is human nature. Exploitation of the popular anecdotal belief is the easy way to succeed. I see potential clients fleeced by amateur, noob wannabe beekeepers daily, pushing the 'save the bees' angle, start the job, get overwhelmed, and leave the client to fend with pissed off bees and structural damage. 

Anyway, all I intended to ask is, what sharks bought into this load of Bs? I'm guessing, once educated with beekeeping truth, his/her/their enthusiasm, participation and investment may dwindle.
