I have to make 50 -80 new colonies in August. It seems the beekeeping season is at the end and drones are forced out of the hives. Grafting larva for new queens will need inseminating the newly hatched queens by the middle of August where will be no drones I suppose. Collecting drone semen at this time is possible but preserving it will be impossible more than 7 days. I tried to google someone in Europe who could offer drone semen in august with no success.

Does anyone have experience in august queens/colonies to give advice.
