.>Those who ignore history are condemned to repeat it. Here's a little blast
from the past (1977) by Bill Wilson

Not sure your point? Disappearing disease was problematic for researchers
like Bill Wilson and Bill tried hard to find a provable cause but ended up
with only his described symptoms and hypothesis.

Sound familiar?

Data:
Disappearing disease as a real provable issue was dropped and no reference
to Disappearing Disease was in the 92 edition of the Hive and the Honey Bee
(I could find) and if you look for "Disappearing Disease " in the new ABC
XYZ (2007) you see only a short reference with the following last sentence
(pg. 203):
Quote:::::::::
" Disappearing Disease has no standing or credibility"

The question one might ponder is:
Will CCD go the same route as DD?

If so then one might ponder if the repeating of history lies with
researchers in DD & CCD more than beekeepers.

I have said on BEE-L (in archives) I was scared to death as a beekeeper in
the seventies my bees would get DD and read everything I could find on the
subject but I had great bees.
