Senior Archaeologist / Historic
PAL, an independent, not-for-profit CRM firm, seeks a highly skilled
Senior Archaeologist to join its staff. The Senior Archaeologist reports to
the President and assumes the principal research and planning lead for a
variety of historic archaeological projects focused on urban industrial
resources. Qualified applicants will have a graduate degree in archaeology
or anthropology, proven skills researching and analyzing historic urban
sites, and at least five years of supervisory experience in the CRM field.
Successful applicants will also have:
a solid understanding of Federal laws pertaining to cultural resources
management;
the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
experience in the preparation of archaeological research designs, project
proposals and qualifications packages;
demonstrated ability to produce quality technical reports in a timely
fashion;
specialized knowledge in material culture from urban and industrial sites;
an established track record of successful research, including publications,
in the history and archaeology of the eastern United States;
strong analytical skills;
superior verbal and written communication skills, and excellent computer
literacy.
