I went into CDNOW and the only listing for Wolfl was this Orion cd. There
were even sound samples, and Bob's description is right on target. The
music sounded good.

Bob was not pleased with the recorded sound on the Orion disc. I noticed
in Schwann Opus that two other Wolfl piano sonata cd's are listed: Laure
Colladant on Ades and Gregor Weichert on Accord. The web site, EVERY CD,
does list the Accord as well as the Orion. I do know a little about
Weichert. Over 10 years ago, he put out a series of discs devoted to
Schubert solo piano works; I bought one of them, but couldn't say that it
was particularly distinctive.

Anyways, Bob might want to give the Accord a shot although I believe that
two of the sonatas would be common to the Accord and Orion. The sonatas
on the Ades disc are all different. Does Ades still exist?

[Ades does appear to exist. Searching on "Ades" on just about any CD
web site gives a fairly long list of available releases. -Dave]
