It's not remote, it's not a joke, and it's happening right now:

Both Bach and Handel are among my favorite composers.  But, for me, there's
a depth and breadth to the emotions conveyed through Bach's music which
Handel either couldn't or chose not to tap into.

These are easy choices to make.  Now, Sophie of "Sophie's Choice", had a
very hard choice to make which makes our choices between composers a snap.
Truman had a difficult choice to make as well.

You folks who get a little upset with these types of threads need to
settle down and keep things in perspective.  I have a friend who got
entirely unglued when he saw people in a supermarket eating food off the
shelves "before" they paid for it.  I visit him every month or so at one
of the local institutions where he resides in relative serenity.  I just
might join him.
