I have read that Heifetz gave his best bow to a music critic friend and
told him to find a promising young violinist to inherit the bow. After the
music critic went to a Maxim Vengerov recital, he decided to give him the
bow. I believe that Vengerov still uses Heifetz's bow in recitals. Can
anyone fill in the details or confirm the story?

Raymond
